Revivendo clássicos

You can't hold it too tight
These matters of security
You don't have to be wound so tight,
Smoking on the balcony

But it's like sleaze in the park
You women, you have no self-control
We angels remark outside
You are known for insatiable needs
I don't know a thing

I've seen love
And I follow the speed in the starlight
I've seen love
And I follow the speed in the star-swept night

Yeah, pace is the trick
And to all the destruction in man

Well, I see you as you take your pride, my lioness
Your defenses seem wise, I cannot press
And detention's at demise, my lioness
Can't you hurt it some?
Think I hurt it

I've seen love
And I follow the speed in the starlight
And I've seen love
And I follow the speed in the star swept night

And now I select you, slow now to let you
See how I stun
See how I stun
Now I select you, slow now I bet you
See how I stun
See how I stun

And to all the destruction in man
And to all the corruption in my hand

And now I select you, slow now to let you
See how I stun
See how I stun
Now I select you, so now I bet you
See how I stun
See how I stun

Now I select you, so now to let you [I've seen love]
See how I stun
See how I stun

Now I select you, slow now to let you [I've seen love]
I always follow the speed in the star swept night

You don't hold a candle
You don't hold a candle
You don't hold a candle

sigh

“The wounds of the past have sacrificed the heart. The mind has cramped closed. The body has entrophied in hard-bellied distrust. But the feeling of loss, and being lost, eventually gets our attention and we see that no one can make us happy but us. And we begin to take responsibility. We begin to build the capacity to respond instead of react. And we focus on our resistance and recognize that relationship is work on ourselves. Taking “the whole catastrophe of relationship” into your merciful heart and investigative mind so that the next one will not be a repeat of the last one.” – Stephen and Ondrea Levine

Carta aberta a Robert Enke

"Your death to us is still omni-present. It has made us all speechless, stunned, helpless.

"We were stunned when we got the unbearable news. We were not able to put our grief into words. We were not able to play football a few days later.

"We could simply not go about business as usual. We all needed to realise this moment of calm in order to realise what has happened - to properly understand - perhaps we never will.

"We have long sat together and thought of you. We have been silent together, cried together and searched for answers together, but in fact found only more questions of 'Why could we not help you? Why did you not want to talk to us about your problems? Why is it that in our competitive society it is not possible to express fears over such illnesses?

"It is for all of us a painful thought that you felt so alone and in need, even though you were with us.

"For you there was so much more at stake than for any other of us. Your death is so bleak but we will do everything we can to carry on in your memory, play good football to be successful. And we will do our best to ensure that stigma and prejudice have no place in football."

The Sorrow of Love

The quarrel of the sparrows in the eaves,
The full round moon and the star-laden sky,
And the loud song of the ever-singing leaves,
Had hid away earth's old and weary cry.

And then you came with those red mournful lips,
And with you came the whole of the world's tears,
And all the sorrows of her labouring ships,
And all the burden of her myriad years.

And now the sparrows warring in the eaves,
The curd-pale moon, the white stars in the sky,
And the loud chaunting of the unquiet leaves
Are shaken with earth's old and weary cry.

The xx - Night Time

You mean that much to me
And it's hard to show
Gets hectic inside of me
When you go
Can I confess these things
To you
Well I don't know
Embedded in my chest
And it
Hurts to hold

I couldn't spill my heart
My eyes gleam looking in from the dark
I walk out in stormy weather
Hold my words, keep us together
Steady walking but bound to trip
Should release but just tighten my grip

Night time
Sympathize
I've been working on
White lies
So I'll tell the truth
I'll give it up to you
And when the day come
It will have all been fun
We'll talk about it soon

And I couldn't spill my heart
My eyes gleam
Looking in from the dark
I walk out in stormy weather
Hope my words keep us together
Steady walking but bound to trip
Should release but just tighten my grip

Night time
Sympathize
I've been working on
White lies
So I'll tell the truth
I'll give it up to you
And when the day come
It will have all been fun
We'll talk about it soon

Pearl Jam - Corduroy

The waiting drove me mad...you're finally here and I'm a mess
I take your riches back...can't let you roam inside my head
I don't want to take what you can give...
I would rather starve than eat your bread...
I would rather run but I can't walk...
Guess I'll lie alone just like before...

I'll take the firmist path...oh, and I must refuse your test
A-push me and I will resist...this behavior's not unique
I don't want to hear from those who know...
They can buy, but can't put on my clothes...
I don't want to limp for them to walk...
Never would have known of me before...
I don't want to be held in your debt...
I'll pay it off in blood, let I be wed...
I'm already cut up and half dead...
I'll end up alone like I began...

Everything has changed, absolutely nothing's changed
Take my hand, not my picture, spilled my tincture

I don't want to take what you can give...
I would rather starve than eat your breast...
All the things that others want for me...
Can't buy what I want because it's free... (2
x) Can't be what you want because I'm...

I ain't s'posed to be this far
Oh, to live and die, let it be done
I figure I'll be damned, all alone like I began...

It's your move now...
I thought you were a friend, but I guess I, I guess I hate you...

Bat For Lashes - Moon and Moon

Where the Wild Things Are

Estou com elevadas expectativas com o próximo filme do Spike Jonze...
